Some of you, especially those who subscribe to the blog’s email delivery, may have noticed that there was no post last week. Sadly, I won’t be posting this week either. The reason?
We’re moving!
Yes, after six and a half wonderful years in Ohio, we’re moving to…
Maryland!
We’ve absolutely loved our time in Ohio. Living in a place that has four seasons is amazing, and the winter snow? We love it! From the Cleveland Orchestra to the lake to the Pro Football Hall of Fame and the A Christmas Story house, it’s been an incredible place to live. And we’re now officially Browns, Guardians, and Cavs fans.
The greatest gift of all, though, is the friends we’ve made. Just like everywhere else we’ve lived, we’ve made lifelong friends here, and it’s very difficult to leave them.
God, though, has given us another adventure. So, it’s off to Maryland to discover a part of the country we’ve never seen. I’m not sure why God is leading us to Maryland, but he has blessed us overwhelmingly with this move.
I’m also going to apply a lesson I learned after our move to Gadsden a few years ago. I shouldn’t have had to learn this lesson because so many people in Georgia changed our lives forever. But I’m a slow learner at times.
I proudly assumed God was sending us to Alabama because someone there needed us. I learned, though, that he sent us there so they could minister to us. The same thing has happened in Ohio; our friends here have greatly impacted us. So, I’m going to assume there’s someone in Maryland who we need. And if we can serve anyone there, well, that’s just icing on the cake. We’re certainly going to try!
So, we’re off to discover the world of blue crabs, crab cakes, the Preakness, Baltimore, and Edgar Allan Poe. We covet your prayers as we make this transition. (And no, we won’t become Ravens fans. Go Browns!)
God will definitely use you to minister to people there! Praying for you & Kim as you move & get settled.
