Summer 2022 is in full force as we can tell from the heat! I pray this post finds you doing well and staying cool. Allow me to start by first saying how thankful I am to you for reading this blog. That means the world to me, and I pray that the blog has at least some positive effect on all who read it. I’m very grateful for you.
I’m also writing to let you know that I’ll be taking a brief summer break from the blog. The primary reason is that next week I’ll be starting a new shift at my job, and it will take a little getting used to. I’ll need to figure out where in my new schedule I’ll fit studying and writing.
This break will also allow me to rest while preparing for the topics I’ll be discussing in late summer/early fall. My goal is to rest, then to begin studying and preparing, and then to begin writing, all before I start posting again. I’d like for my writing to be a few weeks ahead of my posting at all times.
Until then, I pray for you an outstanding summer, with all the excitement and all of the relaxation you desire.
In our last series we looked at lessons we can learn from the people of Israel while they were in the wilderness. The book of Joshua is the next story, as God brings the people into the promised land. In chapter 3, Joshua prepares the people for the crossing of the Jordan with these words: “Consecrate yourselves, for tomorrow the Lord will do wonders among you” (Joshua 3:5).
May God continue to make you holy, and may he do wonders in your life tomorrow and all summer long.
By His grace,
Richard
